Meet Valerie

As an Associate, Retirement Plan Service and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA®), Valerie supports our advisory team in servicing retirement plan sponsor clients, ensuring that they receive accurate and timely reports and deliverables. This frees up our advisors to focus on providing dedicated support to their clients. By assigning a dedicated associate to each plan, our clients benefit from having an additional point of contact who develops an understanding of their specific needs and preferences. This results in more personalized and tailored service and provides greater continuity of support. Associates also keep an eye on changes in the legal and regulatory landscape of the retirement plan industry to ensure that both advisors and clients stay up to date with any changes and remain compliant with relevant regulations.

Valerie graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Sociology. Prior to joining the NWCM team, she worked as a Compliance Officer, overseeing the creation and maintenance of company policies and procedures, as well as performing quality control audits and managing compliance violations. She also has experience as a Chargeback Analyst and in financial customer service and as a research assistant in both a financial and educational setting.

Outside of work, Valerie enjoys running, art, listening to podcasts, traveling and planning trips (especially researching and planning itineraries!), trying out new restaurants and studying Mandarin.
